Art Exploration (West)
Drop-in art projects for kids of all ages at Mooresville Public Library (2–4 p.m.).
Art Exploration is a drop-in creative program where kids and their grown-ups can stop by anytime during the two-hour window to make an art project they'll take home. Each session features a different craft, so there's always something new to try. Recent themes have ranged from dinosaur-inspired activities like tissue paper paintings and dice-designed creatures to nature-based projects featuring bubble paintings, straw rockets, and scratchboard art.
On July 20th, families will have the chance to grow their own borax geodes and watch crystals form—a hands-on experience that requires a bit of patience and involves hot water, so adult supervision is important. Whether your child is into prehistoric themes, nature exploration, or classic crafts like hand-sculpted clay pots, this program welcomes children of all ages to explore their creativity without the pressure of a structured class time.
