Birding Walks at Visitor Pavilion
Join an expert-led bird walk through the Garden trails and discover the feathered residents that make their home here. Your guide, Gail Ice, is a longtime volunteer and experienced birdwatcher who will help you learn about local bird species, their habitats, and behaviors—whether you're new to birding or already passionate about it. The walk departs from the Visitor Pavilion and offers chances to spot birds in their natural environment while exploring scenic areas throughout the Garden.
Come prepared for outdoor exploration: wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring rain gear since the walk happens rain or shine. Binoculars are helpful if you have them. Kids of all ages are welcome, though pets cannot join the group. No registration is needed—just show up at the starting time and meet at the pavilion. Keep in mind that pets aren't permitted, and if you'd like to explore more of the Garden afterward, non-members will need to purchase admission tickets.
