Birding Walks
Guided birding walks at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden; ideal for nature lovers and budding ornithologists.
Join a guided nature walk through the Garden trails led by Gail Ice, an experienced volunteer birder who knows the local bird species inside and out. This one-hour outing welcomes everyone—whether your family has never picked up binoculars or you're already passionate about birdwatching. You'll learn about the birds that live here, their habitats, and their behaviors as you explore scenic spots along the trails and observe wildlife in action.
Come prepared for outdoor hiking with comfortable shoes, layers, and rain gear, since the walk happens rain or shine. Bring your own binoculars if you have them to get a better look at the birds. Pets aren't permitted, and registration isn't needed—just show up at the meeting spot at the designated time. Keep in mind that if you'd like to explore more of the Garden after the walk, you'll need to purchase separate admission tickets.
