Birding Walks

Guided birding walks at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Join an engaging guided walk through the Garden's trails led by Gail Ice, a longtime volunteer and experienced birdwatcher. You'll explore the different bird species that live in the area, learning about their habitats and behaviors as you move through the scenic landscape. This outing welcomes everyone—whether you're already passionate about birding or just curious about the birds around you. Bring your own binoculars if you have a pair, though they're not required. No registration is needed; simply show up at the designated meeting spot to participate. Plan to wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring rain gear, since the walk happens regardless of weather. Keep in mind that pets aren't permitted on the walk. If you'd like to explore more of the Garden after the walk wraps up, non-members will need to purchase admission tickets. This is a great way for families to spend time outdoors and connect with nature together.
