Birding Walks

Guided bird-watching walks at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Join a guided nature walk led by Gail Ice, a dedicated Garden volunteer and experienced birdwatcher, to explore the bird species that live along the Garden trails. This outing welcomes everyone—whether you're already passionate about birds or curious to learn more. You'll discover local bird species, understand their habitats and behaviors, and find scenic spots throughout the gardens while observing wildlife in its natural setting. If you have binoculars, bring them along to enhance your experience. The walk meets outside the Visitors Pavilion and requires no advance registration—just show up at the scheduled time. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring rain gear since the event happens regardless of weather. Pets aren't permitted on the walk. This is a free activity for all ages and experience levels. Keep in mind that if you'd like to explore inside the Garden after the walk and don't have a membership, you'll need to purchase admission separately.
