Birding Walks at Visitor Pavilion
Join a guided exploration of birds along the scenic trails at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Led by experienced birdwatcher Gail Ice, this walk welcomes everyone from curious beginners to seasoned birders. You'll learn about local bird species, their habitats, and behaviors while enjoying the natural beauty of the Garden grounds. If you have binoculars, bring them along to enhance your experience, though they're not required to participate.
The walk meets outside the Visitors Pavilion and lasts about an hour. No registration is needed—just show up at the designated time. Dress for the outdoors with comfortable walking shoes, layers, and rain gear, since the event happens rain or shine. Keep in mind that pets aren't allowed on the walk, and everyone is asked to respect wildlife and follow Leave No Trace principles. If you'd like to explore more of the Garden afterward, non-members will need to purchase admission tickets.
