Birding Walks

Guided bird-watching walks at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Join experienced birdwatcher Gail Ice for a guided nature walk through the Garden trails. You'll learn about the bird species that live here, their habitats, and how they behave in their natural environment. This walk works for everyone—whether your family has done plenty of birdwatching before or you're curious and just starting out. If you have binoculars at home, bring them along to get a better view. The walk meets at the Visitors Pavilion and lasts about an hour. What to know before you go: no registration is needed, just show up at the designated start time. Dress for a hike with comfortable shoes, layers, and rain gear since the walk happens rain or shine. Pets aren't permitted on these walks. Everyone should respect the wildlife and practice Leave No Trace principles. If you don't have a Garden membership and want to explore the rest of the grounds afterward, you'll need to purchase admission tickets separately.
