Birding Walks
Guided birding walks at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden—spot local birds with an expert.
Join an experienced birdwatcher for a guided nature walk through the Garden trails at Daniel Stowe Conservancy. Led by Gail Ice, a longtime volunteer and avid birder, you'll learn about the local bird species that live here, along with insights into their habitats and behaviors. This is a perfect outing for families curious about birds, whether you're just beginning to explore birdwatching or already know your way around binoculars. Bring your own binoculars if you have them to get a better view of the birds you spot.
The walk lasts about an hour and meets outside the Visitors Pavilion—no registration needed, just show up at the start time. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress in layers, and bring rain gear since the walk happens rain or shine. Kids of all ages are welcome, though pets cannot join. After the walk, families interested in exploring more of the Garden will need to purchase admission tickets. Come ready to discover hidden scenic spots and connect with nature in a meaningful way.
