Bookworm Bunch

Bookworm Bunch is a welcoming book club designed for young readers in the 5–8 age range who enjoy stories and creative activities. Each month, the group gathers to discuss a featured book together, then follows up the next week with a special hands-on experience. Children will work with a Charlie Cart—a fully equipped mobile kitchen—to prepare recipes inspired by the book they've just read, making literature come to life through cooking and taste. This September session will focus on *Ice Cream Man: How Augustus Jackson Made a Sweet Treat Better* by Glenda Armand. The program meets in the Youth Services Program Room at the Statesville Library location. Registration opens in mid-July, so families interested in joining should watch for that window.
