Bookworm Bunch

Bookworm Bunch is a monthly book club designed for young readers ages 5–8 who enjoy stories and creative activities. During each session, children discuss a selected book together as a group, then the following week they participate in a hands-on cooking activity connected to their reading. The club uses a Charlie Cart—a mobile kitchen equipped with all the necessary supplies—to help kids prepare story-inspired recipes in a fun, interactive way. For this session, children will make applesauce as a follow-up to earlier book discussions. The program meets at the Statesville Library Meeting Room for one hour. Registration opens on November 12, 2026.
