Butterfly Release Experience

Your family gets an up-close chance to participate in welcoming newly arrived butterflies at the Butterfly Bungalow. During this small-group experience limited to just 10 participants, you'll sit among hundreds of free-flying butterflies and gently open protective envelopes to release them into their new home. Watching each butterfly's first moments is a special experience—some take flight right away, while others need time to stretch their wings and adjust, making each release feel unique. Plan for a 30-minute time slot, though the actual release typically takes 15–20 minutes. The Bungalow closes to the public during this event so your group can enjoy an intimate experience. Arrive 10–15 minutes early so the activity can start on schedule. The program costs $10 per participant, plus garden admission or a membership is required. These sessions run weekly on Wednesdays and are best suited for children and adults who enjoy hands-on nature activities and don't mind being in close quarters with live butterflies.
