Butterfly Shadowbox Workshop

Butterfly Shadowbox Workshop

Create a pressed-butterfly shadowbox craft at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

In this hands-on workshop, your family can create a beautiful keepsake by assembling a decorative shadowbox filled with natural materials. Participants select from dried flowers, decorative papers, and small embellishments to design their own unique piece, then add two preserved butterflies sourced from the venue's Butterfly Bungalow exhibit to complete the artwork. It's a wonderful way to combine creativity with nature. The workshop costs $70 per person, plus garden admission (members enjoy a 15% discount when logging into their account). Sessions run for about an hour and a half. This is a great activity for kids and adults who enjoy crafting and appreciate natural specimens, and it's held in the Wren Room at the venue.
