Butterfly Walk

Guided nature walk spotting butterflies at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Join a guided nature walk through the gardens at Daniel Stowe Conservancy to learn about local butterflies and pollinators. Led by experienced volunteer Keith Camburn, you'll explore different sections of the grounds while discovering information about butterfly species, their habitats, life cycles, and the plants that support them. The walk is perfect for families of all ages and offers a chance to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural environment while enjoying the beauty of the gardens. This event is free for garden members and general admission guests—you'll just need to pay regular garden entry to participate. The walk lasts about an hour and starts at the Butterfly Bungalow patio. No advance registration is required, though groups of six or more should contact the garden ahead of time. Come prepared for summer weather in comfortable walking shoes, and remember that pets aren't allowed. The conservancy asks that all visitors respect wildlife and follow Leave No Trace principles during the outing.
