Children's Chess Club

Your child can join other young chess players for a casual game session designed for kids with comparable skill levels. This drop-off program welcomes children ages 8 through 12 in a relaxed, welcoming environment. The group is limited to 16 participants, so spots fill up quickly. To secure your child's place, register online or call the library starting July 6. Beyond the chess itself, this program supports your child's social and emotional growth by helping them recognize and respond to their own feelings and those of others, while building respectful relationships with peers. It's a great opportunity for young players to practice their skills, enjoy some friendly competition, and connect with kids who share their interests.
