Coffee and Crafts: Natural Fire Starters
Hands-on craft workshop making natural fire starters at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.
Join a relaxed morning of hands-on creativity at Daniel Stowe Conservancy's monthly Coffee + Crafts session. During this 90-minute gathering, you'll make functional fire starters using natural materials like pinecones, dried botanicals, and wax. All supplies are included, and instructors guide you through each step—no crafting experience required. These finished pieces work wonderfully for camping trips, backyard fire pits, or as thoughtful homemade gifts.
The experience pairs perfectly with a freshly brewed beverage from the on-site coffee shop, where you can order a coffee, latte, or tea while you work. Expect a cozy, welcoming atmosphere where families and individuals can chat and connect with others. Arrive a few minutes early to grab your drink before the session begins. The cost is $25 per person. This event happens on the third Sunday of each month at varying locations around the gardens, so check ahead for the specific seasonal setting.
