Creating Comics 101

Interested in learning how to create your own comic strip or graphic story? This workshop brings in experts from Comics In The Making, who will walk young artists through the fundamentals of comic construction. It's a hands-on introduction perfect for anyone curious about the medium, whether they're already drawing or just getting started. The program supports creative thinking and artistic expression, helping participants understand the techniques and styles that make comics work. This workshop is designed for teens ages 12 to 18. Space is limited to 30 participants, so registration is required—you can sign up online or by calling the library at 803-684-3751. Registration opens July 7. The session runs for an hour and a half, giving young artists time to explore and ask questions. A few spots may still be available, so reach out soon if your teen is interested in joining.
