D&D For Beginners

Learn D&D 5th Edition at the library—create characters, master rules, and play adventures with other teens.

Interested in exploring the world of Dungeons & Dragons? This program welcomes teens ages 12–17 to discover 5th Edition D&D in a welcoming group setting. Over the course of the sessions, you'll learn the fundamentals: creating your own character sheet, understanding the core rules, and jumping into short adventure scenarios designed for newcomers. It's a great way to try out the game without any prior experience needed. Sessions meet twice monthly, and spots fill up quickly since space is limited. Registration is required to participate, and there are 14 seats available. For questions or to sign up, reach out to Hannah Drum, the Teen Librarian, at 704-878-3090 ext. 8802 or by email. The program takes place in the Teen Services area of the Youth Services program room at the library.
