Your family can ride behind a real, life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine and explore a full day of activities designed for young train enthusiasts. The experience includes a scheduled train ride, photo opportunities with characters like Sir Topham Hatt, a hay bale maze, temporary tattoos, giant lawn games, and a music-themed corner with hands-on fun. Additional Percy train rides are available for an extra fee. The museum also features three exhibit buildings showcasing North Carolina's transportation history, model train layouts, food vendors, and a gift shop. If you'd like to start early, optional pancake breakfasts are available in a stationary train car, where you can meet Sir Topham Hatt (photos sold separately). Seating for breakfast is limited with two time slots offered. A small number of all-day ride passes let you board Thomas multiple times throughout the day, though standard tickets include one scheduled train time. Tickets start at $28.46. Note that the breakfast train cars aren't wheelchair accessible due to their vintage construction and require climbing steps to board.
