Dinosaur Fossil, Shark Tooth, and Seashell Hunting

Expert beachcomber Dr. Ashley Oliphant leads children through an interactive hour exploring fossils and shells. Kids will see a collection of shark, whale, and dinosaur fossils along with various seashells, learn how fossils form, and discover what responsible beachcombing looks like. The workshop wraps up with a hands-on 10-minute fossil dig where children get to keep any seashells and shark teeth they unearth. This program works best for kids ages 5 to 11, and each child needs an accompanying adult. After the main activity, Dr. Oliphant will be available to sign copies of her book, answer questions, and sell affordable fossils from across the country.
