Discovery Club
STEAM activities and creative projects for kids ages 6–11 at the Iredell County Library.
Discovery Club invites children ages 6 through 11 to dive into hands-on STEAM activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Each session features projects that combine learning with artistic expression—think everything from building Rube Goldberg machines and experimenting with solar ovens to crafting stamps, playdough, and sidewalk chalk. The themes rotate monthly, so there's always something fresh to explore, whether your child is interested in animal adaptations, engineering challenges, or DIY crafts.
Sessions run for one hour and are held in the Youth Services Program Room at the Statesville Library location. When registering, simply sign up for the number of children attending—adult caregivers don't need separate registration. This is a great fit for school-age kids who enjoy tinkering, building, and getting creative.
