Donkey Meet & Greet

Your family is invited to spend time with the donkeys living in the pasture at Anne Springs Close Greenway. This is a chance for kids to observe these animals up close and learn about them in their natural setting. The event runs from 10:30 a.m. to noon, with two convenient parking options. If you start from the Dairy Barn Entrance, simply walk past the Founders Dairy Barn along Blue Star Trail toward Steele Creek—you'll spot the donkey pasture on your left before you reach the Swinging Bridge. From Lake Haigler Entrance, head toward the Greenway Gateway visitor center, turn left on Blue Star Trail, cross the Swinging Bridge, and look for the pasture uphill on your right. This is a wonderful outing for animal-loving families who enjoy outdoor exploration. The walk itself is a nice way to get moving while enjoying the Greenway trails. After your visit with the donkeys, consider stopping by the Greenway Canteen on your way back for lunch or a snack. This event repeats weekly through late November, so you can visit whenever it fits your schedule best.
