Donkey Meet & Greet

Your family is invited to visit the donkeys in their pasture and learn about these friendly animals up close. This is a hands-on opportunity to connect with the creatures who live on the grounds, making it a great activity for kids who love animals. The experience runs for about an hour and a half, giving everyone time to observe and interact at a comfortable pace. Getting there is straightforward from either entrance point. From the Dairy Barn Entrance, simply park and walk past the Founders Dairy Barn along Blue Star Trail toward Steele Creek—you'll spot the donkeys on your left before reaching the Swinging Bridge. If you're coming from Lake Haigler Entrance, head toward the Greenway Gateway visitor center, turn left on Blue Star Trail, cross the Swinging Bridge, and head up the hill on the right. After your visit, the Greenway Canteen is nearby if your family wants to grab lunch or a snack before heading home.
