Donkey Meet & Greet

Bring your family for a chance to spend time with the donkeys living at the greenway. This is a relaxed opportunity to observe these friendly animals in their pasture and learn more about them. The experience works well for children of all ages who enjoy animals and outdoor exploration. Getting to the donkeys is part of the adventure—you'll walk a scenic trail to reach their home. From the Dairy Barn Entrance, head past the Founders Dairy Barn along Blue Star Trail toward Steele Creek; you'll spot the donkeys on your left before the Swinging Bridge. If you're coming from Lake Haigler Entrance instead, walk toward the visitor center, then take Blue Star Trail past the Swinging Bridge with the pasture uphill on your right. After your visit, consider stopping by the Greenway Canteen for a bite to eat before heading home.
