Elementary Explorers

Elementary-aged exploration program at Mooresville Public Library.

Elementary Explorers is a hands-on program that invites kids to dig into fascinating topics like dinosaurs, rocks, caves, and ancient civilizations. Each session combines art and science through interactive activities where children build structures, create artwork, design solutions to real-world problems, and experiment with materials. Whether they're constructing earthquake-resistant buildings, making DNA bracelets, filtering water, or exploring the rock cycle, kids get to learn by doing rather than just listening. This program repeats throughout June and July, with a different theme each week. It's designed for elementary-aged children who enjoy getting messy, asking questions, and discovering how the world works. Sessions take place in the Youth Services Community Room at the library, making it easy to access and a great way to spend time learning during the summer months.
