Forest Bathing

Forest Bathing is a guided, meditative experience in nature based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku. Rather than a traditional hike, you'll move slowly through natural surroundings while engaging all five senses to reconnect with yourself and the environment. Research shows this type of nature immersion offers real wellness benefits—from boosting immune function and lowering blood pressure to reducing stress and improving sleep quality. Many participants also report enhanced creativity and a greater capacity for kindness. Your guide, Angie Stegall, is a certified Forest Therapy Guide and life coach who will lead the two-hour experience. Come dressed comfortably in layers and sturdy shoes suitable for uneven dirt and gravel trails, and bring weather-appropriate gear like sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and water. The guide provides sit pads, though you're welcome to bring your own mat or blanket. Registration is required, and admission costs $40 for garden members or $50 for non-members.
