Forest Bathing
This gentle two-hour experience invites families to step away from daily distractions and reconnect with nature through Forest Bathing, a mindful Japanese practice called Shinrin-yoku. Rather than a typical hike or guided nature walk, this is a meditative journey where you'll engage your five senses to experience the natural world. Research shows meaningful time in nature this way can help reduce stress and blood pressure while boosting mood, sleep quality, and creative thinking.
Your guide, Angie Stegall, is a certified Forest Therapy Guide and life coach who creates a calm, centered experience for all participants. Come dressed comfortably in layers with sturdy shoes suitable for uneven dirt and gravel trails—bring a hat, sunglasses, weather-appropriate gear, sunscreen, and water as needed. Small sit pads will be available, though you're welcome to bring your own mat or blanket. Registration is required, and pricing is $40 for Garden Members and $50 for non-members.
