Free Guided Docent Tour

Explore the gardens with a knowledgeable volunteer guide who shares insights into Stowe's history, plant collections, diverse habitats, and landscape design. These free guided tours offer families a chance to learn while wandering the grounds with an expert docent leading the way. No registration is needed—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby and you're ready to go. Each tour accommodates up to 20 people and is recommended for children ages 5 and older. Keep in mind that while the tour itself is free, non-members will need to pay standard garden admission to participate. Plan for about an hour, and arrive ready to discover what makes these gardens special through the eyes of someone passionate about sharing their knowledge.
