Free Guided Docent Tour

Free guided tour led by a docent volunteer at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Meet knowledgeable volunteer guides who know the gardens inside and out! Every Saturday morning, families can join a free guided tour led by expert docents who share fascinating details about the property's history, plant life, different habitats, and garden spaces. The tour lasts about an hour and accommodates up to 20 people, making it an intimate way to explore the grounds. Kids ages 5 and up tend to enjoy these walks most, though younger siblings are welcome too. There's no need to sign up ahead of time—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at 11 a.m. on any Saturday during the March through September season. While the tour itself is free, keep in mind that non-members will need to pay regular garden admission to participate. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn from passionate volunteers and discover details you might miss on a solo stroll through the gardens.
