Free Guided Docent Tour

Join a knowledgeable volunteer guide for a leisurely walk through the gardens on Sunday afternoons. Your docent will share fascinating insights about the grounds' rich history, diverse plant collections, different habitats, and garden design throughout the tour. It's a wonderful way to deepen your appreciation for what makes this space special, whether you're visiting for the first time or returning for another visit. The tour is completely free and requires no advance sign-up—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at 1:30 p.m. and you're ready to go. Groups are kept to 20 people to ensure everyone gets a good experience. While kids ages 5 and up are welcome, keep in mind that non-members will need to pay standard garden admission to participate. These tours run on Sundays from April through September.
