Free Guided Docent Tour

Take a break and explore the gardens with an expert guide during this free docent-led tour. A knowledgeable volunteer will walk your family through the grounds, sharing insights about the property's history, wildlife habitats, plant collections, and garden design. It's a wonderful way to learn while enjoying the outdoors together. No registration is required—simply show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby and you're in. The tour welcomes families with children ages 5 and up, and groups are capped at 20 people to keep things manageable. Keep in mind that while the tour itself is free, non-member visitors will need to pay regular garden admission. Plan for about an hour of walking and discovery.
