Free Guided Docent Tour

This Saturday morning, you're invited to explore the gardens with a knowledgeable volunteer guide. The docent will walk your family through the grounds, sharing insights about the garden's history, local habitats, and the plants and landscaped areas throughout the property. The one-hour tour starts at 11 a.m. at the Garden Pavilion, and it's completely free—just show up a few minutes early to meet your guide. A few things to keep in mind: tours are capped at 20 people, so you won't feel crowded, and kids ages 5 and up tend to enjoy them most. No registration required, but non-member families will need to pay the garden admission fee to attend. Tours run Saturdays from March through October, making this a nice seasonal activity to revisit throughout the year.
