Free Guided Docent Tour
Expert-led tour of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden's beautiful grounds—free admission.
Looking for a way to explore the gardens while learning something new? These free guided tours happen every Saturday morning from March through September, led by knowledgeable volunteer docents who share fascinating insights about the property's history, native habitats, plant collections, and landscape design. The tour lasts about an hour and accommodates up to 20 people, so it's an intimate experience without feeling crowded.
Just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at 11 a.m.—no registration required. The tour itself is completely free, though non-member families will need to pay regular garden admission to enter the grounds. Kids ages 5 and up tend to enjoy these tours best. It's a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning if you're looking to deepen your family's appreciation for nature and gardening.
