Free Guided Docent Tour

Learn about the gardens and grounds from knowledgeable volunteers on these guided Sunday tours. A docent expert will walk your family through the property, sharing insights about the area's history, natural habitats, plant life, and garden features. It's a great way to get oriented and discover details you might otherwise miss during a self-guided visit. The tour is completely free and doesn't require advance registration—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby when it starts. Tours are capped at 20 people, making them intimate and manageable for families. Kids age 5 and up are welcome. Keep in mind that if you're not a member, you'll need to pay regular garden admission to participate in the tour.
