Free Guided Docent Tour

An expert volunteer will lead your family through the gardens, sharing fascinating stories about the property's history, the plants you'll see, and the natural habitats that make this space special. It's a wonderful way to learn more about what grows here and appreciate the gardens up close with someone who knows them well. The tour is completely free, and you don't need to sign up in advance—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at the start time. Keep in mind that while the tour itself is complimentary, garden admission is required for non-members. The tour accommodates up to 20 people and works best for children ages 5 and older. Plan for about an hour of walking and listening as you explore together.
