Free Guided Docent Tour

An expert volunteer will guide your family through the gardens on a leisurely Saturday morning tour. You'll explore the grounds while learning about the property's history, native habitats, plant collections, and scenic garden spaces. The tour lasts about an hour and accommodates up to 20 people, making it an intimate experience even when others are joining in. This activity is completely free, and you don't need to sign up in advance—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby when the tour begins. Kids ages 5 and up will enjoy the experience best. Keep in mind that if your family isn't already a member, you'll need to pay regular garden admission to participate in the tour. It's a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning learning something new while enjoying nature together.
