Free Guided Docent Tour

Join a knowledgeable volunteer guide for an informative walk through the gardens on Saturday mornings. Your guide will share fascinating details about the property's history, the plants and habitats you'll encounter, and the different garden spaces throughout the grounds. The tour lasts about an hour and accommodates up to 20 people, making it an intimate experience whether you're visiting solo or with family. This tour is completely free to join, and you don't need to sign up in advance—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at 11 a.m. Keep in mind that while the tour itself is complimentary, non-member guests do need to purchase garden admission to attend. The experience works best for children ages 5 and up. These guided tours run on Saturdays from March through October, offering a great way to learn more about the gardens while exploring the grounds together.
