Free Guided Docent Tour

A knowledgeable volunteer will guide your family through the gardens on a leisurely Sunday afternoon tour. You'll learn about the property's history, the various habitats and plants throughout the grounds, and discover what makes this space special. The tour holds up to 20 people and is best suited for children ages 5 and older who can comfortably walk and listen along the way. There's no need to register in advance—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby and join in. The tour itself is free, though non-members will need to purchase regular garden admission to participate. It's a wonderful way to explore the grounds with an expert who can answer questions and point out details you might otherwise miss.
