Free Guided Docent Tour

Bring the whole family for a Saturday morning stroll through the gardens with a knowledgeable volunteer guide. These free tours happen every week and cover the history, plants, habitats, and design of the grounds—perfect for curious minds who want to learn while exploring. There's no need to sign up ahead of time; just meet your guide at the Garden Pavilion lobby when you arrive. Keep in mind that each tour welcomes up to 20 people, and kids age 5 and up will get the most out of the experience. One important note: while the docent tour itself is free, non-members will need to pay regular garden admission to participate. It's a wonderful way to spend an hour outdoors with expert insight, whether you're new to the gardens or returning for another visit.
