Free Guided Docent Tour

Explore the gardens with an expert guide during this free docent-led tour. One of our knowledgeable volunteer docents will walk your family through the grounds, sharing insights about the property's history, native habitats, plants, and garden features. It's a wonderful way to learn more about what makes this space special while enjoying the outdoors together. No registration is required—just show up at the Garden Pavilion lobby at the start time. The tour accommodates up to 20 people and works best for children ages 5 and up. Keep in mind that while the tour itself is free, non-member visitors will need to pay regular garden admission to participate. Plan for about an hour to complete the experience.
