Free Nature Photography Walk
Learn nature photography tips on a guided walk at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.
Join professional photographer Nelson Stegall for an evening walk that celebrates the art of slowing down and observing nature more intentionally. This 1.5-hour guided experience invites you to explore the grounds while learning photography techniques and perspectives. Whether you're using a smartphone camera or a full setup with a tripod, you'll have the chance to practice capturing meaningful images inspired by the Slow Photography Movement. It's a wonderful way to connect with nature and fellow photography enthusiasts in a relaxed, supportive setting.
This free event happens monthly on the fourth Thursday. Space is limited, so you'll want to register ahead of time to guarantee your spot. Bring comfortable outdoor shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a camera of any kind, water and snacks, and a positive attitude. Please note that the Conservancy may use any photographs taken during the walk for their marketing purposes. It's a great outing for families who enjoy nature and photography, or anyone looking to explore a new creative hobby in an encouraging community.
