Galena Digital Library: Mother Goose On the Loose

Nursery rhymes and songs at Galena Digital Library.

This interactive storytime at Galena Digital Library is designed for the youngest learners—babies from birth through 23 months—along with their caregivers. The program uses nursery rhymes, songs, music, and movement to introduce early literacy skills in a playful way. You'll experience 30 minutes of structured activities that might include puppets, musical instruments, colorful scarves, and short book readings, followed by 30 minutes of free play and social time for families to connect. Parent involvement is an important part of the experience, as caregivers actively participate alongside their children to strengthen bonding and support learning. Older siblings are welcome to attend. The library provides each caregiver with activities and tips to practice at home during the week, and the program works best when attended regularly.
