Guided Night Hike

Take your family on an after-dark adventure through the Anne Springs Close Greenway, where the forest comes alive in ways you've never experienced. Your group will hike the trails under the stars while learning about the animals that are most active when the sun goes down. You'll also practice using night vision and identify constellations overhead as you move through the woods. This is a wonderful way to discover a whole different side of nature and spend quality time together exploring something new. The program welcomes families with children ages 7 and up (kids must be accompanied by an adult), and it covers most requirements for the Girl Scout Cadette Night Owl Badge, though everyone curious about nighttime nature is welcome. Each person pays $16, with a 20% discount available for Greenway members. Girl Scout troops can inquire about group rates. Remember to bring closed-toe shoes and a headlamp or flashlight for each participant. The program runs rain or shine unless severe weather forces a cancellation, in which case you'll receive a full refund.
