Homeschool Series: Adaptations, Behaviors + Survival (Grades 4 + 5)

This two-hour outdoor session introduces fourth and fifth graders to how plants and animals survive in their environments. Working with experienced Environmental Educators, students explore real habitats and discover how organisms adapt their life cycles and behaviors to handle changing conditions. Through hands-on activities and problem-solving, they'll observe how animals respond to shifts in food, weather, shelter, and other environmental factors. The program costs $15 per student and focuses on behavioral adaptations—like where animals find food or seek shelter—and how these strategies help creatures thrive. It's designed specifically for students in grades 4 and 5 who are interested in learning about ecology and animal survival in an active, outdoor setting. Registration is required to participate.
