Get out on the water this summer with a kayak rental at Lake Haigler. Whether you're looking to stay active, unwind by the scenery, or simply have fun with family, paddling these peaceful waters is a great way to spend an afternoon. Time slots run in two-hour blocks starting at 9 a.m., with the final slot beginning at 6 p.m. Just plan to arrive within 15 minutes of your reserved start time. Reservations are necessary and can be booked online or through guest services—no payments are taken at the waterfront. Each person, including children of any age, needs their own registration at $16 per person (members receive 20% off). Life jackets are provided for participants weighing 30 pounds or more; families with younger children should bring an infant PFD from home. Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome aboard. Keep in mind that kayaks and paddleboards are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, and paddleboard availability is quite limited. The facility recommends leaving valuables at home, as swimming to retrieve lost items isn't permitted. Rain won't cancel the day unless severe weather develops—in that case, you'll receive a full refund.
