Take to the water for paddling, fitness, and fresh air at Lake Haigler. Whether you're seeking relaxation, scenic views, or a little adventure, kayaking offers something for the whole family. Two-hour time slots start at 9 a.m., with the latest departure at 6 p.m. Both kayaks and paddleboards are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so specific watercraft types aren't guaranteed. All participants—including children of any age—need individual registrations, and well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome to join you on the water. Plan ahead: reservations must be made online or through guest services, and no payments are accepted at the waterfront. Registration costs $16 per person for a two-hour session (20% off for Greenway members). Life jackets are provided for those 30 pounds and up; younger children require their own infant PFD from home. Arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled start time. Leave phones and valuables at home—the Greenway doesn't allow swimming or diving to recover lost items. These outings run rain or shine unless severe weather forces a cancellation, which comes with a full refund.
