Kayaking Clinic

Your family can experience Lake Haigler from the water during this hands-on kayaking session. The afternoon starts with a group orientation where everyone learns essential safety skills and techniques for paddling, getting in, and getting out of the kayak. After that introduction, participants are free to explore the lake at their own pace or work with on-water staff for extra guidance. It's an easygoing way to build confidence while enjoying time outdoors together. This program welcomes children ages 8 and up (with an adult in the boat), making it accessible for families new to paddling. Single kayaks cost $32 per person, and tandem boats (perfect for an adult and child) are $48—with a 20% discount available for Greenway members. Just bring water bottles and wear secure, closed-toe shoes; the facility provides space to store extra clothes and belongings. Registration opens in early June for the summer season. Rain or shine, this outdoor adventure is a fun way to try something new as part of the Explorer Series.
