Latin Music at the Mint – Boleros
Free Latin music performance at Mint Museum Randolph — family-friendly boleros.
Join us for a free evening celebrating bolero, the sentimental Latin music genre born in 19th-century Cuba. This special program features live performances by soprano and guitarist Dora Cardona, paired with engaging storytelling that explores bolero's rich history, memorable composers, and the cultural stories behind the music. The event is organized by Lucila Ruvalcaba, director of ACAL (Asociación Cultural de Artes y Letras de México), and offers a wonderful way to experience the diverse cultural traditions that make Charlotte special.
The evening begins with a reception at 5:30 PM, followed by the musical program at 6:30 PM, wrapping up by 8:00 PM. There's no cost to attend, making it an accessible cultural experience for the whole family. If you need accessibility accommodations or services, the museum's Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator can help—reach out at [email protected] or call (704) 337-2081 to arrange any support you might need.
