Lewis Family Gallery

The Lewis Family Gallery at Mint Museum Uptown is a hands-on space designed for curious minds of all ages. Your family can create art, tackle building and puzzle challenges, snap photos together, and step inside a Romare Bearden collage playhouse. It's the kind of place where kids can actively engage with the museum collection rather than just observe from a distance. The museum maintains thorough cleaning protocols to keep the space safe for all visitors. Best of all, admission to the Lewis Family Gallery is included with general museum entry—no extra ticket needed. If your family has accessibility needs, the museum offers accommodations and services; just reach out to the Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator at the contact information provided, or visit their accessibility page for more details. This is a great option for a rainy afternoon or when you want to combine art exploration with hands-on creative play.
