Lewis Family Gallery

The Lewis Family Gallery at Mint Museum Uptown offers hands-on fun for visitors of every age. Kids can play and create in this interactive space designed to spark imagination and curiosity about the museum's collection. Activities include making art, tackling building and puzzle challenges, taking photos, and exploring a playhouse styled after a Romare Bearden collage. It's a wonderful way to introduce children to art while giving them room to play. This experience is included with your general admission ticket, so there's no extra cost beyond museum entry. The gallery maintains thorough cleaning protocols to keep the space safe for all visitors. If you need accessibility accommodations or services during your visit, the Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator can help—reach out at [email protected] or (704) 337-2081. The gallery has set hours throughout the week, so plan accordingly when you visit.
