Lewis Family Gallery

The Lewis Family Gallery at Mint Museum Uptown offers a hands-on space where kids and adults can engage with art and the museum's collection together. This interactive environment invites visitors to create their own artwork, tackle building and puzzle challenges, take photos, and play inside a Romare Bearden collage-themed playhouse. It's a wonderful option for families looking to combine creative play with cultural exploration in a welcoming setting. Admission to the gallery is included with general museum entry, so there's no additional cost. The space maintains rigorous cleaning standards to keep everyone safe. If your family needs accessibility accommodations or services, you can reach out to the Volunteer Internship and ADA Coordinator at [email protected] or (704) 337-2081. For families planning a visit, the gallery has extended hours on certain days to fit different schedules.
